Blesscon Supports The Construction Of A Cafe-Amphitheater In The Tourism Village Developed By BUMDes

The producer of lightweight bricks, Blesscon, a subsidiary of PT Superior Prima Sukses (SPS), is involved in the corporate social responsibility program "Demi Dewi." Demi Dewi is a program implemented by the East Java Provincial Government in collaboration with Yayasan Rumah Kita Sidoarjo, KIP Foundation, and Sampoerna untuk since 2019.
The format is collaborative, synergizing the BUM Desa Clinic program and the Dewi Cemara program. In 2022, Blesscon lightweight bricks joined as a supporting partner to build the Bila tourism facility. If in previous years Demi Dewi mainly focused on creating tourist cafes, this year, an amphitheater is also being constructed.
Blesscon, whose home base is in East Java, feels obligated to contribute to the success of the program. Symbolically, Blesscon has recently provided material assistance for the construction of the amphitheater to the Village Head of Mendak, Dagangan District, Madiun Regency, Nur Cholifah.
Blesscon Brand Manager, Yusuf Permadi, stated that Blesscon's participation as a sponsor is expected to help accelerate economic recovery in all sectors.
"The current challenge is the purchasing power of the community. High inflation, but incomes have not increased. By working together like this, Blesscon also contributes to community empowerment," said Yusuf in a written statement on Wednesday (July 13, 2022).
In addition, Blesscon also aims to get closer to and express gratitude for the support of the community. Thanks to the support of the community as Blesscon consumers, this lightweight brick brand received the Top Brand Awards in 2021 and 2022. Blesscon has also become the only lightweight brick brand with SNI (Indonesian National Standard) certification and a green label in Indonesia.
For your information, Mendak Village already has the Waturumpuk Nature Tourism and Tapak Bimo Climbing Lane, which has been operational. Cultural festivals and agricultural events are often held before the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"We did allocate funds for tourism management in the village, but the amount is not large. Being selected as a village in the BUMDes Clinic is very beneficial for development," said Nur Cholifah.
She mentioned that the long-awaited facility is an area or place to accommodate festivals or events that can attract a large number of people. In Mendak Village, there are performances of traditional Javanese music (karawitan), dongkrek, and martial arts performances.
At the program's opening, East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa mentioned that this program is one of the gateways to the welfare process for the community. The results can be seen in the declining poverty rate in East Java according to BPS (Statistics Indonesia) data. Therefore, this program is continued and even expanded to explore the potential of villages.
For example, in 2022, after the mentoring process, potential beyond the natural environment and culinary aspects were found. Director of BUMDes Clinic Nova Haryanto mentioned that there are local traditional ceremonies and arts that can attract tourists.
"For example, in Blitar Regency, there is the Larung Sesaji procession," he said.
Although it is a ritual ceremony, events like these are unique and worth seeing for tourists. This amphitheater format accommodates religious activities, performance venues, and other activities that can accommodate a mass audience. The tourist villages where the amphitheater is being built include villages in the Pacitan, Madiun, and Blitar regions.
Nova stated that the construction of tourism facilities is indeed one of the main agendas of the BUMDes Clinic. For three years, it has been dominated by cafe construction. Besides being contemporary, the management of cafes by BUMDes brings in good income. In 2022, there is still cafe construction, but now it is accompanied by the construction of an amphitheater.
