The Regent of Grobogan, Sri Sumarni, officially opened the Grobogan Housing Exhibition. The exhibition, held from August 12-14, 2022, aims to contribute to the economic recovery in Grobogan and celebrate the 77th anniversary of Indonesia's independence.

In addition, Sri explained that the exhibition also aims to assist people facing difficulties in buying homes, usually due to the mismatch between income and house prices.

"The holding of this Housing Exhibition can be a gateway for information for the public. Don't be afraid first, but look first, consult first, adjust to financial capabilities," she said in a statement on Friday (12/8/2022).

The event, supported by Blesscon lightweight bricks, hopes that the Grobogan Housing Exhibition can boost the property industry. A total of 20 developers from Grobogan and 3 banks participated in the exhibition. They are developers of middle-class housing with a price range of around IDR 400 million. However, there are also developers of subsidized housing.

The growth of developers in Grobogan is inseparable from the increasing purchasing power of the local community. Statistics from the Central Java BPS mention that despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Human Development Index (HDI) of Grobogan is still able to grow positively. It has the fastest growth in Central Java and successfully emerged from the low standard after a decade, reaching 70.41.

In terms of per capita expenditure adjusted for Purchasing Power Parity (PPP), the community's spending power increased to IDR 10.294 million in 2021. No wonder the potential market in Grobogan is thriving.

Meanwhile, Blesscon Brand Manager Yusuf Permadi said that Grobogan has great development potential. This is evident from the many housing developers and contractors in the area.

"In this Expo, Blesscon wants to get closer to contractors and developers. At the same time, it brings an educational mission about environmentally friendly construction, using lightweight bricks," said Yusuf.

Although there are many developers, unfortunately, the construction of houses in Central Java still uses red bricks. However, this material is environmentally risky. It is different when using lightweight bricks that are carefully managed from the raw material extraction process, processing to water usage, to ensure they do not harm nature. Currently, Blesscon lightweight bricks have obtained Green Label certification.

"The only environmentally friendly lightweight bricks," he concluded.
